Long Distance Restriction - V7.0
History Log
Product Description
Long Distance Restriction (also known as Toll Restriction) restricts end-users from placing most 1+ calls and all 0+ outgoing calls (including access to 900/976 pay-per-call services). Customers can place long distance calls by using a calling card.
Long Distance Restriction automatically incorporates International Blocking, Pay Per Call Restriction and Carrier Access Code Blocking functions.
Local calls, calls to 800/950 numbers and repair will be permitted with Long Distance Restriction.
Calls to Directory Assistance (DA) may or may not be permitted depending on the state within which the service is tariffed.
When end-users dial 0 or 1 from a restricted line, the call will be diverted to a Qwest-provided intercept announcement.
Some carriers can be accessed by dialing a special number
to their network. This number is given to the end-user by
the Interexchange Carrier (IXC). It may be a 1+800 number,
a local 950+ number or 101XXXX+#. The access number allows
the end-user to use the IXC's calling card. The following
tables describe dialing patterns:
