CARRIER SERVICES


USWC shall provide to USWLD Carrier Services upon request. Such Carrier Services include the following:

Switched Access Information

USWC shall provide to USWLD Switched Access Information ("SAMI") for USWLD end user usage upon mutual agreement.

Fraud Detection

Fraud detection services require monitoring messages to minimize revenue loss due to fraud. USWC will research, verify and block suspected fraud.

Directory Assistance

USWC shall provide Directory Assistance as described below to USWLD in accordance with the provisions stated in USWC’s tariffs or work order, as appropriate.

Twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week, National Directory Assistance (NDA) services within the North American Numbering Plan (the method of identifying telephone trunks in the public network of North America) to USWLD customers who dial 1-NPA-555-1212 include the following:

    1. Telephone number when the end user provides the city, state, and listing name;
    2. Address, including available zip code, when the end user provides the city, state and listing name;
    3. Area code(s) when the end user provides a city and state;
    4. Listing searches if caller provides information which specifically fits a unique listing; and
    5. NDA call completion link offered for all calls delivered to the Minneapolis switch or other switch locations where available.
When a call arrives at a USWC operator’s station, the operator will know the originating area code and USWC will provide billing information as mutually agreed upon.

Toll and Assist Services

USWC shall provide Toll and Assist Services as described below to USWLD in accordance with the provisions stated in USWC’s tariffs or work order, as appropriate.

Twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week, Toll and Assist Services within the North American Numbering Plan (the method of identifying telephone trunks in the public network of North America) to include the following:
  1. 0+ dialed alternately billed calls
    • Automated calling card billed to third party, and collect.
  1. 00 - dialed calls (with live operator intervention)
    • Operator assisted calls billed to the originating number; and
    • Operator assisted person-to-person calls billed to the originating number or alternately billed; and
    • Operator assisted due to dialing difficulty and billed at direct dialed rate; and,
    • Other emergency and/or informational calls.
When an end user arrives at a USWC operator’s station, the operator will respond according to the call-flows mutually agreed upon by USWC and USWLD.
